Short Description

Mathematician and master’s degree in mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), with the Cum Laude distinction and an international mention in 2012. Expert in data privacy, particularly in the context of large databases and social networks. His research focuses on data protection through techniques such as k-anonymization and local differential privacy. He has developed algorithms and solutions, such as trajectory exchange (SwapMob) to protect mobility data and graph perturbation (Noise-graph addition), to safeguard information from complex networks without losing its analytical utility. Additionally, he has proposed algorithms to ensure privacy in dynamic databases and social networks, as well as solutions for privacy on the Internet of Things (IoT)
